Cricket Junior Section Update, June 2020
Dear Junior and Parents/Guardians,
These are unprecedented times – and first, and foremost, all those involved in running Clydesdale CC hope that and your family/friends are safe and well.
As you know covid19 has impacted the normality of life, cricket for us is part of that normal. It is a part of our lives lost just now – with All Stars, Kwik Cricket, Dynamos, matches and coaching all on hold! We will shortly detail the structure and plans around a safe return to training from June 29th.
The club, despite grant funding, has been hugely impacted financially. Many revenue streams are closed. In particular the loss of the money-making potential of 4 ODI matches is painful! We have committed to the venue by not furloughing Martin McAllister and therefore maintaining Titwood to our expected standards.
The club needs to realise membership revenues but will make a sizeable reduction in fees from the norm. We have some of senior cricketers intimating they are in a position and want to pay a full subscription. This level of commitment is a massive help and we would appreciate any similar offers from our Juniors – but we realise some families may have been impacted personally, and they should feel comfortable to contact us privately. Therefore, the Junior subscriptions for this compromised season are as follows:
Junior Playing Subscription
Full fee: £110 / £95 / £80 (depending on age group)
Reduced minimum required payment: £50
The preferred payment method is a bank transfer, quoting your child’s name as a reference:
Account Number: 00220347 Sort Code: 80-07-67
Should anyone wish to discuss this proposal please feel free to contact Colin Mitchell (Chair of Cricket) or David Hart (Junior Convenor), using the details at the end of this letter. Please download a membership form for 2020 (Word document) or a Junior Cricket online membership form is available here. We request that this is completed and returned (by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org). This will allow us to update our databases, to ensure we have the appropriate consent forms in place (in preparation for activities restarting), to update the information held on the WDCU’s PlayerReg system and to enable us to pass on updated player information to Western Warriors (Youth) should their programme resume.
In the meantime, the new Junior WhatsApp group we have created for Juniors and parents/guardians continues to run. Challenges/information/activities are being posted on five days of each week – and we hope this has managed to keep our Juniors (and families) engaged with both cricket and with Clydesdale CC. We have only added people if we have received an explicit request from them or a parent/guardian. If you are not part of this group and wish added, please contact your respective age group Team Manager or the Junior Convenor.
Thanks in advance & stay safe!
