The Saturday Cavaliers saw their season end as much of that-which-had-gone-before had done…with it raining. And, for once, not even the Cavaliers collective drive to play in all conditions could save this game. When the game was abandoned, the opposition had been reduced to 44/7. A gutting abandonment at any time…but especially when you’re playing at Gatehouse of Fleet! Just the 4+ hour round trip for about an hour’s cricket! (But, we can’t complain too much as the abandonment was the only decision possible…and because Gatehouse have the 4+ hour round trip to play every other week.)
Overall the season reads: 15 games, 6 cancellations or abandonments, 5 wins and 4 losses.
