With the regular skipper away, it was left to Haroon Sher to lead Titwood as they welcomed Torrance House to Titwood. And Harry immediately got things off to a good start by winning the toss! Titwood batted first and racked up 264 from the 50 overs. Indeed, the top six in the order all got to double figures or higher (Haroon 48, Paddy 20, Imy 47, Lyle 55, Dave F 23 and Bash 14) meaning that things were always racing along in the right direction – despite 5-for for Ralphs.
With the ball, Bilawal Pirzada picked up an wicket before Torrance House progressed to 62/1 off of 15 overs. But the introduction of Arun Krishna resulted in the prize wicket of Harmanjit Singh for 42, before the 3rd wicket followed soon after. After another stubborn 4th wicket partnership, 117/4 became 124 all out – with Bily (4/35) and Bash (4/22) doing the real damage.
Titwood winners.
