With Windyedge struggling for players, they conceded the league game to Cavaliers. However, some quick thinking for Steve Taylor and Glasgow Accies resulted in a friendly being played at Glasgow Accies school ground…a few extra Clydesdale juniors making the trip and guesting for Accies.
And, it was a useful exercise – enabling several of the Club’s Juniors to get some more experience of playing senior cricket. Top scorer for the Cavaliers was Owain Taylor with 26 – with Bilal Haider (17), Gregor Anderson (11), Steve Taylor (16) and Chad Tung (12) all making double figures. Chief destroyers for Windyedge were Darren Gibson (3 for) and guest player Nyal Sadiq (2/13).
In the second innings, the top scorer for Windyedge was ex-Accies players Zuhayr Siddiqui with 22. Rohan Dhami (1), Ihtisham Malik (2), Farhaj Siddiqui (1) and Kallum Dhami (2) took the wickets as Windyedge were 49 all out.
