Cavaliers Denied A Chance of Revenge.
After being outclassed by Active Life Club in the Sunday League, the Cavaliers were eagerly anticipating a re-match – this time in the Evening League. At 2.30pm, on Tuesday, the game was already in serious doubt but the sunshine offered a very slight ray of hope! By 4.30pm the ground was very wet, the hockey pitch had turned white due to the sleet and thoughts had already turned to whether or not Active Life Club could be persuaded to get involved in a favourite Clydesdale past-time – puddle sliding! Unfortunately the puddles were deemed not quite to be suitable and the various forms of birdlife were left to enjoy the puddles – undisturbed.
