U13s Beat U15”B” Team
The series of season-ending in-house challenge matches continued on Monday evening with the U15”B” team (a team whose fixture programme has been severely curtailed by the weather) taking on the U13s.
The U13s batted first Ross Duckett and Gregor Anderson both top scoring with 25 and with good support coming from Remo Margiotta and Ross Bain (who both made 10). 99/5 off 16. In reply Tayeb Mahmood (36) provided the backbone of the innings – but he couldn’t find enough support (and the U13s did very well at keeping him off strike towards the end of the innings) to mount a serious challenge on the target. Spinners Imran Ameen and Gregor both took “2-fors” to slow the run rate too. 83/7 – U13s winners by 16 runs.
