U18s Progress to National Knock-Out Semi-Finals
Titwood was the venue. Clydesdale v Ferguslie was the game. U18 was the age group. National Knock-Out Cup was the competition.
Patrick Barbour won the toss and ‘Dale batted first. Paddy went early (4) but Sam Page (46) and Lyle Hill (26) put on 59 for the second wicket and then Sam and Shreyas Chitnis (3) added 24 for the third. Amir Ullah (3), Raphael Selby (1) and Haris Chaudhry (4) then sacrificed themselves in the quest for quick runs. Ilan Selby (5) and Finlay Walker (3) finished as the not out batters as the U18s posted 119 off their 16 overs
In reply, Ferguslie finished 71 all out. There were wickets for Haris Chaudhry (1), Umair Chaudhry (2), Sam Page (1), Shreyas Chitnis (2) and Raphael Selby (3). Throw in 2 stumpings from stand-in keeper Ilan Selby and it was a good all-round win for the U18s..
