The U15s won their pre-season friendly against the Western Cricket Academy Junior (U14) XI. On winning the toss, Lyle Hill chose to bat before top scoring as the U15s scored 118 off their 16 overs.
In reply the U15s appeared to be in total control until things got a little sloppy. However, despite the wobble, the Academy XI were left needing 30+ off the last 2 overs and Haris Chaudhry then removed any lingering doubts about the result of the match by taking 2 wickets (both clean bowled) in 2 balls.
All-in-all, a decent night’s work as the batters got a hit, the bowlers got some overs in and the fielders re-acquainted themselves with what it is like to field on a damp outfield in late April!
