Another Sunny Night, Another U13 Cruise
Greenock were the visitors to Titwood on Monday 12th May. Lyle Hill immediately improved on his performance of Friday by winning the toss and electing to bat.
Greenock started well with Sufian Ali content to watch over 1 carefully – a maiden. The next 19 Greenock overs would yield 181 runs and produce no wickets. Both Sufian and Jasim, who had been challenged to improve on the solids starts they had made on Friday did so – both retiring with 31*. Lyle Hill, Finlay Walker (30*) and Scott Turnbull (33*) also joined the retirement party – with Lyle claiming the non-existent prize for the highest retirement score, with 33*.
In reply Greenock reached 80 but only for the loss of 2 wickets as all Clydesdale players (barring wicket-keeper Ilan Selby) bowled. Harry White picked up both the wickets – cleaned bowled and finished with figures of 4-1-10-2. |
