Guernsey 2008
Following the very successful Tour of 2007, Clydesdale has again been invited to participate in a Tournament in Guernsey in 2008. Last year saw a 4-team Tournament played at U16 level. This year, the Tournament is U16/7 and only Clydesdale and South-East Hampshire remain from the teams that took part last year. The other teams involved for 2008 are New Forest and Overstone.
Last year it was agreed that teams could field “over-age” players if it was in their best interests. This agreement remains for 2008 and, with this in mind, the club has looked to include some players who are in their final year at U18.
There are still various question-marks surrounding the final squad. Once these have been resolved, the final squad will be announced and a decision made over who will be asked to captain the squad.
